SkitMedia ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Masjid Times mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by the terms described herein.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us, as well as information collected automatically when you use the App.

A. Personal Information

• Phone Number: If you choose to verify your account to submit Iqamah times to the community, we collect your phone number for authentication and spam-prevention purposes using Firebase Authentication.
• User Profile Data: You may optionally provide a display name or city/state which is used for the community leaderboard. If you do not verify your phone, you operate as an anonymous user.

B. Device and Usage Data

• Device Information: We automatically collect certain information about your device, such as your mobile device ID, operating system, and App version to ensure functionality.
• Push Notification Tokens: If you opt-in to prayer time reminders or Iqamah notifications, we securely store a device token to route these alerts to your phone.

C. Location Data

• Precise Location Constraints: With your explicit permission, we collect your device's precise location (GPS) to find nearby mosques, calculate accurate localized prayer times (via the AlAdhan API), and display mosque markers on the map (via Google Places API).
• Background Location: We do not track your location in the background. Location is only accessed when the App is in use.

D. Camera and Photos

• Image Uploads: To use our AI timetable extraction feature, the App requires access to your device's camera or photo gallery.
• Image Processing: Photos of timetables you capture or select are sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini API) strictly for the purpose of extracting prayer times. We do not use these images for facial recognition or any other purpose.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Core Functionality: To calculate accurate prayer times, locate nearby mosques, and provide navigation.
• Crowdsourcing & Leaderboards: To allow you to submit verified Iqamah times to our database (Firebase Firestore) and rank on the community leaderboards based on your contributions.
• Notifications: To send you requested prayer time alerts, Iqamah countdowns, and community updates.
• App Improvement: To monitor usage trends, troubleshoot bugs, and improve the user experience.
• Security: To prevent spam, abuse, and fraudulent submissions of incorrect mosque data.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share information with third-party service providers that help us operate the App:

• Google Firebase: Used for database hosting (Firestore), user authentication (Phone Auth), and secure backend infrastructure.
• Google Places API: Used to securely retrieve mosque details, coordinates, and map data.
• Google Gemini API: Used strictly to process timetable images and extract text/times.
• AlAdhan API: Used to calculate astronomical prayer times based on your latitude and longitude.

These third-party providers are bound by their own strict privacy policies and are only provided the minimum data necessary to perform their specific functions.

4. User-Generated Content

Any Iqamah times, mosque facility updates, or notes you submit to the App become part of our crowdsourced database and are visible to other users of the App. Do not submit sensitive personal information through the timetable submission feature.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your personal information only as long as necessary to provide you with the App's services or as required by law.

• Account Deletion: You can request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon request, your phone number, profile, and push tokens will be permanently deleted from our servers.

Note: Crowdsourced Iqamah times you have submitted may be retained anonymously for the benefit of the community.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.

7. Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. Database access is secured via Firebase Security Rules, and all network requests (such as API calls to Google and AlAdhan) are encrypted using HTTPS/SSL.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, if the changes are significant, by providing a prominent notice within the App.
